Device Testing

All pre-owned and refurbished devices sold by Essentially Mobile are tested thoroughly against a strict set of check points. These check points have been designed so that any potential issues with the device and its components can be resolved before the device is made eligible for sale. Common things that are tested include device audio quality for both media and calls, camera quality, screen quality, physical damage, and quality of the battery. If a device fails any of our tests, we will continue to service and re-test the device until it can be approved for sale. We use genuine Samsung Components for all Samsung refurbishments, and the highest quality aftermarket components for all other refurbished devices.

C-Grade

At Essentially Mobile, a C-Grade device is a device that has passed all our tests successfully, and either contains a battery that performs the same as a brand new one, or has had a brand new battery installed. Devices more than several years old will always have a new battery installed to ensure they pass our benchmarks. The device may have minor marks on the screen, and on the body and rear of the device. These marks are cosmetic only, and will never effect the functionality of the device. C-Grade Devices usually come with a 3 month warranty, however some newer Samsung devices will also still include a manufacturers warranty ranging from 12-24 months which will be mentioned if applicable.
